One rainy Saturday, I decided to binge-watch documentaries on weed, thinking it would be a chill way to spend the day. I settled into my couch with snacks, ready for some enlightening content. The first documentary started with a serious tone, showcasing the history of cannabis. I was intrigued until they cut to a segment featuring a group of stoners trying to grow their own plants. One guy, clearly not the brightest bulb, mistook fertilizer for his breakfast cereal.

The next scene showed him munching on a bowl of “fertilizer flakes,” while his friends looked horrified. I couldn’t stop laughing, and my cat, sensing my amusement, jumped onto my lap, startled by my sudden outburst. As the day went on, I watched a documentary about the medicinal benefits of weed. They interviewed a doctor who claimed it could cure everything from anxiety to bad hair days. I paused the video, looked at my cat, and said, “You hear that? We could be millionaires!” By the end of the day, I was convinced I was a cannabis expert, but all I really learned was that I should never trust a stoner with breakfast. My cat, however, was still skeptical of my newfound knowledge.
