Once upon a time, there was a guy named Tim who was absolutely convinced he was smarter than 99% of the people around him. He wore his intelligence like a badge of honor, correcting everyone on everything from pop culture to particle physics. One day, he decided to impress his friends with a trivia challenge. “I’ll show you just how smart I am!” he declared, puffing out his chest. The first question was about the capital of France. “Easy! Paris!” he shouted, basking in the glory of his brilliance. But then came the next question:
“What’s the largest mammal on Earth?” Tim confidently answered, “The elephant!” His friends exchanged glances, stifling laughter. “Uh, Tim, it’s actually the blue whale,” one friend said, barely holding it together. Tim, undeterred, replied, “Well, I was just testing you!” The group erupted in laughter, and Tim realized he might not be as infallible as he thought. From that day on, he embraced his quirks, often saying, “I’m 99% sure I don’t care what you think!” And while he still believed he was smarter than most, he learned that laughter was the true mark of intelligence.
